When developing our house coffee at Soulshine, we wanted to offer a house espresso that like the food offering changes with the seasons. Tidal is our answer, changing with the tides, always from a single origin, always from the freshest crops, and always with bags of character. With or without milk whether made on a fancy espresso machine, pour over or just a simple cafetiére at home its got you covered. We love the rhythm of getting to know a coffee over a few months then moving onto the next one. 

Spring/Summer 2026 - This batch of Tidal hails from Rio Brilhante. Established in 1976 by Mr Inácio Urban, and now the responsibility of the second generation, Rio Brilhante is home to a set pioneering environmental initiatives. Revitalised springs, clever rainwater recycling and a focus on soil health ensures biodiversity flourishes amongst the coffee cherries.

When first cupping this earlier in March, we were all hit by a sense that we might accidentally be tasting a kinder bueno or ferrero rocher! Rich, sweet, chocolate hazelnut notes cut through at the end with a sparkle of cherry acidity. Cracking, however you drink your coffee.
