TRACK & FIELD - MBARE LOT 1 - RWANDA

Is there anything better than a little cup of warming coffee before you head out for a little run, a session climbing the hills of the Jurassic coast on two wheels, or a bracing dip in the sea? Coffee & exercise really were made for each other. It's very much part of our routine.

Inspired our friend Joe Allen at The Run Coach, Track & Field is all about providing the tastiest, juiciest caffeine fuel possible. Throughout the year, we'll feature our favourite bright, light and fresh roasts, always making an easy-drinking cup. For anyone who likes a little acidity in their espresso, or wants a go-to fruity banger on filter.

Track & Field - Autumn 2026

Our first roast really hones in on that lovely bright acidity. Full of juicy melon notes, with a hint of lime and the sweetness of a good cola, it goes down just about perfectly on a cool, crisp Autumn morning.

As always with coffees from our friends at Omwani, there's a real care taken from soil to export here. Grown and harvested by 34 farmers, under the guidance Gracien Tugirimana the cherries are processed at Rwamatamu’s Mbare washing station. The cherries are sorted by hand to remove initial defects, before being pulped and washed through grading channels, eventually poured into tanks for 12 hours of fermentation.

After washing, the coffee parchment was spread out to dry in the sun upon raised beds for around 24 days. During this time seasonal workers turn the beans for even drying, while picking out defects by hand.

All resulting a beautifully easy-drinking cup.
